Chapter 358

Isabella's fingers trembled slightly.

She stared at the paternity test report, the paper rustling in her shaking hands.

So Mother's recent strange behavior wasn't due to illness.

Those expensive diamond necklaces were nothing but guilt offerings.

The document slipped from her fingers with a soft thud.

She turned and rushed out of the room, her steps unsteady.

At the staircase landing, she collided with Vincent who had just returned home.

"Isabella?" Vincent caught her shoulders. "What's wrong?"

Tears spilled from her eyes. "Dad... I'm not Mother's biological daughter..."

Vincent's pupils constricted sharply.

"Nonsense!" He hissed in a lowered voice.

Isabella pointed toward the living room. "Those photos! Mother's treasured album from twenty years ago—it's all displayed now!"

Her voice shook. "And that paternity test... I found it in your bedroom drawer..."

Vincent's expression darkened.

After a long silence, he finally spoke. "You're right. You're not her biological daughter."

The words struck Isabella like lightning.

"But you are my flesh and blood." Vincent gripped her trembling shoulders. "The child she bore wasn't mine. Did you expect me to raise another man's daughter?"

Isabella's world crumbled.

Her nails dug deep into her palms.

"Then... where is Mother's real daughter?" Her voice turned hoarse. "Why did she—"

"Enough!" Vincent cut her off sharply. "This discussion ends here. Just remember—you'll always be my beloved daughter."

His eyes turned icy. "Your brother is indeed her biological child. With my campaign underway, this family must maintain appearances. Understood?"

Isabella nodded mechanically.

She dragged her heavy feet upstairs.

Behind her, Vincent's phone dial tone sounded. "Where are you? We need to talk..."

Meanwhile, Evelyn had just stepped through her front door.

Victoria rushed over excitedly. "Sis! Come quick—you won't believe what's happening!"
