Chapter 220

Evelyn's brow furrowed slightly as she averted her gaze. "It's nothing."

"What's everyone up to? Drinks are getting warm." Olivia approached with a champagne flute in hand.

The energy in the private room was electric.

"Just drinking is dull. Let's spice things up," Natalie suggested, though her eyes kept darting between Sophia and Julian.

Those two hadn't exchanged a single word since sitting together.

As best friends, the girls were naturally Sophia's strongest allies.

Natalie and Olivia exchanged knowing glances before pulling Evelyn and Harrison into their game.

"What are we playing?" Evelyn asked.

Natalie's lips curved mischievously. "What else? Truth or dare, obviously."

"Sounds perfect." Olivia agreed immediately, and the group formed a circle.

"Rules are simple," Natalie explained. "Whoever the bottle lands on chooses truth or dare. No cheating. And losers drink."

She added with a smirk, "If there are no objections, let's begin."

With dramatic flair, Natalie spun the bottle first. "Five... four... three... two... one!"

The neck pointed directly at Olivia.

"Seriously? Me first?" Olivia blinked in surprise.

"Enough stalling," Natalie teased. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth, obviously."

Natalie and Evelyn exchanged conspiratorial looks. Finally Evelyn asked, "Name your current crush in three seconds."

"What?" Olivia's eyes widened.

Then she broke into a triumphant grin. "Single and proud, ladies. No crushes here. Bottoms up!"

Without hesitation, Olivia raised her glass and drained it in one go.

Natalie tsked. "So quick to drink. Remember - lies mean double penalties."

Olivia winked. "Cross my heart, it's the truth."

Second round began with Olivia spinning the bottle, which landed squarely on Harrison.

The girls erupted in cheers. "Harrison! Truth or dare?"

Harrison's smile deepened as his gaze found Evelyn's. After a dramatic pause, he declared, "Dare."

Reading the room perfectly, Natalie and Olivia chorused, "Then you'll do a love shot with Evelyn."

Suddenly Julian interjected, "Wait! Harrison's the one playing. Why involve Evelyn?"

Sophia promptly kicked him under the table. Julian shot her a confused look, but she pretended not to notice, joining the chant. "I think it's brilliant."

"Hold on, Evelyn—" Julian wasn't stupid. His eyes darted between Harrison and Evelyn as realization dawned. Something was definitely brewing between them.

Evelyn didn't protest. She picked up her glass and met Harrison's eyes. "Harrison."

Their arms intertwined as the group cheered. They downed their drinks in perfect sync.

"Wow! Now that's chemistry!" Olivia exclaimed, sending the energy in the room skyrocketing.

Evelyn felt heat creeping up her cheeks. Even after setting her glass down, her heart continued its wild rhythm.

The game continued.

"Your turn, Harrison. Spin the bottle."

Just as Harrison reached for the bottle, the private room door swung open.
