Chapter 366

Sunlight streamed through the glass window. Sophia Lowell raised a hand to shield her eyes. It suddenly struck her—three months had passed since she last saw Ethan Roscente.

"Rumor has it Miss Valentine is becoming Mrs. Roscente?" she murmured to herself, a faint smile playing on her lips.

Isabella Valentine approached in stilettos, her skirt swaying with each step. "What, jealous?"

"Congratulations." Sophia met her gaze, her eyes eerily calm. "You finally got what you wanted."

Isabella narrowed her eyes. "Stop pretending!"

"I mean it." Sophia tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "If not for you, how could I have been freed so quickly?"

Isabella grabbed her wrist. "What are you implying?"

Sophia coldly eyed the hand with its crimson manicure. "Let go."

"Who do you think you are?" Isabella tightened her grip instead. "Scared now? You should've considered the consequences when you were spreading lies in front of Ethan!"

Sophia laughed suddenly and slapped her across the face.

The sharp crack echoed as Isabella stumbled back, clutching her cheek.

"That was for the flowerpots you smashed." Sophia flexed her stinging palm.

"You bitch!" Isabella trembled with rage. "The Roscentes are my territory now. Who do you think you are?"

Sophia leisurely adjusted her sleeve. "Secured your position as Mrs. Roscente yet? I heard..." She deliberately drew out the words. "Someone saw Ethan taking a college girl to a hotel last night?"

Isabella's face paled.

"So it's true." Sophia chuckled. "Well, men always crave novelty. That face of yours..." Her gaze swept over Isabella meaningfully. "Too many touch-ups, don't you think?"

Isabella's nails dug into her palms.

"Rather than wasting time with me, you should focus on saving your wedding." Sophia turned to leave but paused. "Oh, the girl's last name was Lin, wasn't it? Quite the fresh beauty."

Isabella's shriek followed her: "Sophia Lowell! You'll pay for this!"

Sophia waved without looking back, sunlight casting her elongated shadow behind her.
