Chapter 278

Jason Roscente flicked Vivian Ashcroft's forehead with his slender fingers when he realized she'd completely forgotten he was her fan.

"My idol is you," he said. "I came specifically to meet my celebrity crush."

This kid always had a dramatic way of speaking.

Vivian rubbed her forehead and glared at him. "No respect for your elders. I'm still a celebrity, even if I'm not A-list. Paparazzi don't care about that. I don't want Dylan Langley snapping some compromising photos."

Dylan Langley was infamous in the industry—a paparazzo who made his living blackmailing stars.

Jason scoffed. "I'm nineteen, not a kid. Vivian, stop talking to me like I'm some child."

"Nineteen is still a baby in my eyes." Vivian deliberately ruffled his short hair. "Be good and call me 'Auntie.' I'll buy you candy."

Jason swatted her hand away, his gaze suddenly turning dangerous. "Keep treating me like a kid, and I'll show you what a real man is."

Vivian froze under his sudden intensity.

Before she could change the subject, Jason grabbed her wrist. "Let's go."

"Where?" Vivian tried to pull free. "I'm waiting for someone—a very important guest."

Jason rubbed his thumb over the lingering warmth on her skin, looking down at her. "Isn't that me?"

Vivian tilted her head up, realization dawning. "You're the replacement guest Director Roscente found?"

A roguish smirk curled his lips. "Surprised?"

Vivian: "..."

Meanwhile, in another dressing room.

Isabella Valentine stared at her heavily made-up reflection in the mirror and slammed her hands on the table. "What the hell is this monstrosity?"

The makeup artist flinched back.

"This looks like something out of a horror movie!" Isabella shrieked. "Did you leave your brain at home today?"

The makeup artist lowered her head, tears welling in her eyes.
