Chapter 277

The scenery outside the car window blurred past as Sophia Lowell finally noticed the lush greenery lining both sides of the road. This didn't resemble a bustling metropolis at all—it was more like a hidden paradise.

"Dominic changed the location last minute," Zachary Evans said, gripping the steering wheel with a hint of frustration. "We're heading to the Hot Springs Resort for the project discussion now."

He had caught an early morning flight, and the faint shadows under his eyes betrayed his exhaustion. Sophia couldn't help stealing another glance at him, thinking how relentlessly dedicated he was.

Back at the New York studio, Vivian Ashcroft was pacing in agitation.

"If no one shows up soon, the production team will replace me!" She glared at her phone screen, wishing she could reach through it and throttle Ethan Roscente.

Daisy Rustichel rushed over in a panic. "The director says we have ten minutes at most!"

Vivian closed her eyes in despair. Just as she was about to text Sophia, hurried footsteps approached.

"Jason Roscente?" Her eyes widened at the sight of the casually dressed young man. "Here to chase after celebrities?"

The tips of Jason's ears turned pink as he shoved his hands into his pockets and shrugged with forced nonchalance. "Yeah. Here to chase you."

Vivian nearly choked on her own saliva. She scrutinized the boy several years her junior before realization struck. "Wait… you're not—"

"Your new co-host." Jason flashed a brilliant grin. "Looking forward to working with you, Miss Ashcroft."

The studio lights suddenly brightened, illuminating them both. Vivian now noticed Jason had styled his hair for the occasion, and a delicate brooch adorned the collar of his crisp white shirt.

"You—" She faltered.

"Don't worry, I won't hold you back." Jason leaned in unexpectedly, his voice dropping to a whisper near her ear. "I grew up watching your shows."

Vivian's face flushed crimson. She shoved him away. "Stop talking nonsense!"

Daisy stood frozen nearby, her script clattering to the floor.
