Chapter 132
"Watch your mouth." Ethan Roscente's voice was icy.
Before the words faded, the terrace door slammed open.
Sophia Lowell stood in the doorway, her face pale with rage. Her trembling fingers clenched at her sides as she glared at Ethan.
Both Ethan and Felix Roland froze.
Felix swallowed hard. "Shit. She heard everything."
A vein throbbed at Ethan's temple. "Shut up."
"Should we call an ambulance first?" Felix suggested with barely concealed amusement.
"Get lost."
Sophia's nails dug into her palms. Step by step, she advanced, lifting the jade hairpin toward Ethan.
"Ethan Roscente, you're worse than an animal."
Gripping both ends of the hairpin, she snapped it in two with a sharp crack under his darkening gaze.
"If you dare harass me again," she hurled the broken pieces at his chest, "this will be you."
Before he could react, she snatched the wineglass from the table and flung its contents at his face.
Felix gasped.
Crimson liquid dripped down Ethan's sharp jawline, staining his white shirt like blood.
"Sophia!" Ethan's voice burned with fury.
"Serves you right." She smashed the glass and turned to leave.
Ethan moved to follow, but Felix yanked him back. "The press is swarming outside. Want to humiliate her further?"
He halted.
Wiping the wine from his face, his eyes turned venomous. "This is your fault."
Felix rubbed his nose sheepishly. "Who knew the door wasn't soundproof—"
A deafening crash interrupted him as Ethan kicked the terrace door off its hinges.
