Chapter 282
Isabella Valentine trembled with rage, her nails digging deep into her palms. She glared at Vivian Ashcroft with venomous eyes.
"Get out." Vivian lounged lazily with her legs crossed. "The sight of your face ruins my appetite."
"You—"
Jason Roscente suddenly stepped between them, his gaze icy. "Try laying a finger on her." A dangerous smirk played on his lips. "I'll make sure you never work in this industry again."
Isabella paled.
She couldn't comprehend why every Roscente man was bewitched by Sophia Lowell's circle. The fourth uncle married Emily Laurent, Ethan Roscente protected Sophia, and now even Jason stood by Vivian's side.
"Isabella, let's go." Her agent Jessica Luwelton quickly pulled her away, forcing a smile as she bowed to Jason. "Please forgive us, Mr. Roscente. We'll find another spot."
"Why should I move?" Isabella shrieked.
Jessica lowered her voice. "That's the youngest Roscente heir. If he says one word to Ethan, your engagement..."
Isabella bit her lip hard.
"Don't worry." Jessica's eyes gleamed cunningly. "The show's director is my old classmate."
Once they left, Vivian exhaled in relief and gave Jason a thumbs-up. "That felt amazing! Last time was humiliating."
Jason suddenly leaned in, his breath brushing her ear. "Want to..." His voice dropped to a murmur. "Be my girlfriend?"
Vivian's ears turned crimson. She grabbed a water bottle and gulped frantically.
Crash!
In the new dressing room, Isabella smashed cosmetics wildly. Foundation splattered everywhere, lipstick smeared across the mirror.
A makeup artist cowered in the corner.
"Leave us." Jessica dismissed the trembling woman and gripped Isabella's shoulders. "I've contacted the director. But you must control yourself—live broadcasts can't be edited."
Isabella took deep breaths, staring at her distorted reflection.
A twisted smile suddenly appeared. She pulled out her phone and sent a message. Seeing the reply, she dragged her finger viciously across Sophia's photo.
Achoo!
Sophia shuddered abruptly in the car.
"Cold?" Ethan frowned, adjusting the AC. His gaze lingered on her slightly pale lips.
