Chapter 55

Nathaniel Graves and Beatrice Kensington's primary goal at the tech expo was networking.

Of course, once Alexander Whitmore arrived, they kept discreet tabs on him while working. They were curious how he'd react upon seeing Isabella Sinclair.

But when Alexander spotted Isabella, his expression remained completely blank. He looked right through her as if she were a stranger. Not even a second glance.

The rumors must be true. Years ago, Isabella had allegedly used shady tactics to trap Alexander into marriage. He'd never cared for her.

Even after their wedding, he'd barely spent time at home. Pure disgust was all he felt toward her.

As the expo's main conference prepared to begin, staff notified key company representatives to gather for the summary meeting.

Representing YodaVision were Nathaniel and Isabella.

They walked ahead together.

Seeing Isabella granted access to the conference hall shocked Victoria Kensington and Beatrice.

Beatrice turned to Victoria. "Does Nathaniel truly value her that highly?"

They'd already sensed his regard when he brought Isabella to the expo. But this level of privilege was unexpected.

Unbelievable.

Isabella was a divorced single mother.

Beautiful, yes - but with Nathaniel's elite background, he could easily find someone far more accomplished.

Why invest in a woman about to enter her second marriage?

Victoria stayed silent.

Though they'd entered the expo, seating was limited. Since their company hadn't contributed exhibits, they'd normally be relegated to the back rows.

Yet Alexander had arranged front-row seating for Victoria beside him.

Hearing this, Reginald Kensington chuckled.

Isabella was present, yet Alexander placed Victoria at his side.

Beatrice smirked. "I hear Mr. Frederick Aldridge is speaking later. Front row means better access."

Victoria understood perfectly.

After spotting Isabella and Nathaniel in the middle rows, Beatrice had felt slighted. But Victoria's prime seating instantly lifted her spirits.

Victoria also noted Isabella and Nathaniel's location.

Following Alexander, she passed Isabella without acknowledgment, chin lifted.

Isabella and Nathaniel noticed them too.

Neither cared to acknowledge the group.

But whispers swirled around them.

"Mr. Aldridge is in the front row! Those seats guarantee conversation opportunities. So jealous."

"Exactly!"

Isabella and Nathaniel exchanged glances.

Nathaniel leaned closer, murmuring, "Don't worry. Even if she meets our mentor, she'll never impress him."

Their first encounter had revealed Victoria's true capabilities.

Isabella raised an eyebrow. "What if she's been hiding her skills?"

A fair point. Nathaniel had considered this possibility but...

Was it likely?

As he pondered, the host took the stage.

After lengthy remarks, the announcement came: "Please welcome our keynote speaker, Mr. Frederick Aldridge!"
