Chapter 293

They still had Alexander.

Given how much Alexander valued Victoria, if they married, the Kensington and Sinclair families would rise to new heights. The Rodriguez family wouldn't even compare.

Penelope smirked, shooting Isabella a disdainful glance before leaving with the others to help Julian move into the boys' dorm.

After settling William's luggage, Isabella left campus and returned home.

The moment she stepped inside, there was a knock. Abigail and Charlotte stood at the door, freshly returned from their hometown. They'd brought local specialties.

Isabella accepted the gifts. "Thank you."

"You're welcome!" Charlotte beamed.

She pulled a small trinket from her pocket. "I saved this for Sophia. I'll give it to her tomorrow at school!"

Charlotte adored Sophia. Ever since New Year's when Sophia called her first, their bond had deepened. She chattered excitedly about the first day of school.

Listening, Isabella realized Sophia hadn't called her lately. Tomorrow marked the new term. No call meant Sophia didn't want her there.

Of course—Sophia had plenty of escorts.

Alexander would be there. Probably Victoria too.

Isabella smiled through the conversation before carrying the gifts inside.

Still short-staffed, she resumed hiring tech personnel the next day.

At lunch, Abigail sent photos of Sophia's school activities. One frame included Alexander and Victoria.

So Sophia hadn't asked her because Victoria was going.

Isabella studied the image of Alexander and Victoria, about to exit when it disappeared. Abigail must've sent it accidentally and deleted it.

She hadn't shared divorce details with Abigail. Typically, custodial parents restricted access. Abigail assumed Isabella rarely saw Sophia and missed her terribly. Hence the photos.

Explaining was exhausting.

Recognizing the kindness, Isabella simply replied, "Thank you."

On Wednesday, Isabella and Nathaniel handled business near Whitmore Manor. As they got in their car, another vehicle emerged from the private road—Alexander's regular car.

It pulled over.

Alexander and Victoria stepped out.

Isabella froze.

They'd come from Whitmore Manor.

Alexander had taken Victoria to meet Eleanor.
