Chapter 314

The society pages of Salzburg were buzzing after Eleanor Whitmore's birthday celebration. Word spread like wildfire that Alexander Whitmore had been secretly married and fathered a six-year-old daughter.

Victoria Kensington never lacked suitors.

Despite her public relationship with Alexander, countless men still pursued her relentlessly.

When news broke about Alexander's hidden marriage and child, Victoria's admirers were devastated. They believed someone of her caliber deserved better.

The morning after the birthday gala, several determined suitors showed up at The Grandeur's headquarters, attempting to convince Victoria to leave Alexander.

Victor Pembroke and other executives had to intervene before the situation escalated. The incident became watercooler gossip throughout the company.

Some employees whispered, "We knew Ms. Kensington was popular after that Valentine's Day incident, but this is next level."

"Absolutely."

The entire company knew about Victoria and Alexander's strong bond. But few had suspected he'd been married with a child.

One bold employee finally asked, "Ms. Kensington, is it true? Mr. Whitmore was married before? With a daughter?"

Victoria smiled serenely. "Yes."

Seeing her composure, another ventured, "And you...?" Victoria chuckled. "We get along splendidly. Sophia adores me. We have a wonderful relationship." Since it was work hours, the gossip session ended quickly.

At 5 PM, Victoria was finishing paperwork when Sophia burst into her office. "Victoria!" The woman's face lit up as she scooped up the giggling child. "You're early."

Sophia nodded enthusiastically. "Mm-hmm!"

Victoria stroked her hair. "Give me ten minutes to finish, then we'll go to Whitmore Enterprises to meet your father."

"Okay!" Sophia chirped.

The child's sudden appearance had caused whispers. But seeing their interaction erased all doubts.

The resemblance to Alexander was uncanny.

Earlier when Victoria mentioned getting along with Alexander's daughter, some had been skeptical.

But witnessing Sophia's radiant joy at seeing Victoria, the truth was undeniable.

Victoria hadn't exaggerated.

Their bond was genuine.

People often said stepmother roles were challenging.

Though Victoria and Alexander weren't married yet, everyone expected an announcement soon.

One awestruck employee murmured, "Ms. Kensington, even children fall under your spell. You're incredible."

Victoria shook her head. "You flatter me. Sophia has the sweetest temperament. Our relationship is mutual - I can't take all the credit."

Another observed, "Mr. Whitmore's daughter is exquisite. She'll grow into a stunning beauty."

"No question."

As they studied Sophia, some employees noticed something familiar in her features beyond just resembling Alexander.

They also wondered - what kind of woman could have borne Alexander's child?

Curiosity burned, but no one dared pry.

Twenty minutes later, Victoria closed her laptop. "Ready to see Daddy, sweetheart?"

Sophia eagerly shouldered her unicorn backpack and grasped Victoria's hand. "Yes!"

Victoria prompted gently, "Say goodbye, darling."

"Bye everyone!" Sophia waved enthusiastically.

The enchanted staff chorused, "Goodbye! Visit again soon!"

"Okay!" Sophia promised.

Watching them leave, Victor remarked, "For all those doubters who can't accept Ms. Kensington's happiness with Mr. Whitmore, he's certainly shutting down rumors effectively."

"Having his daughter visit her at work? That's a power move. Mr. Whitmore doesn't play around when it comes to Victoria."

"Exactly. Ms. Kensington is truly blessed."
