Chapter 385

Isabella couldn't care less about Alexander's opinion of her. His judgment meant nothing to her now.

After leaving The Grandeur, Isabella and Nathaniel's team returned to Salzburg Tech for their afternoon meeting.

Eleanor and Genevieve didn't join them this time. But Victoria did.

Seeing Victoria tagging along again, Nathaniel discreetly rolled his eyes. "Mr. Whitmore, regarding Ms. Kensington—"

Alexander anticipated his concern.

Before Nathaniel could finish, Alexander interrupted, "Confidentiality isn't an issue. If anything happens, I'll take full responsibility."

Nathaniel had heard this exact assurance before when they first partnered with InnovaTech.

Still, he needed verbal confirmation.

"Your word puts me at ease," Nathaniel replied with a tight smile.

During the morning session, Alexander had occupied the head chair alone. Now with Victoria present, he had an additional seat placed beside him.

Isabella noticed but quickly averted her gaze.

The meeting commenced.

With Nathaniel leading, Isabella and Kieran remained mostly silent observers.

Midway through, Isabella reached for a water bottle when her throat grew dry.

Kieran was quicker. "Thirsty?" He twisted the cap open before she could respond.

"Thanks," Isabella murmured, accepting the bottle.

Kieran leaned closer to whisper technical commentary about Nathaniel and Alexander's discussion points.

Their hushed exchange continued longer than necessary.

Victoria had already observed their closeness during lunch at The Grandeur.

Kieran had deliberately positioned himself beside Isabella then too.

But was his interest genuine?

Victoria knew Kieran's devotion to her. He'd changed his academic focus to AI for her sake, even returning to Ceravelle because of her.

Could his affections shift so rapidly?

She glanced at Alexander beside her. He'd also noticed Kieran's attentiveness toward Isabella.

Yet after one indifferent glance, Alexander dismissed the interaction entirely.

This observation sparked realization in Victoria.

Alexander knew Kieran's feelings for her.

If Kieran was pursuing Isabella now, his motives were clearly impure. Yet Alexander offered no warning.

Meaning even if Isabella got hurt by another man's advances, Alexander wouldn't intervene.

The revelation brought a faint smile to Victoria's lips.

Meanwhile, Dominic focused not on Kieran, but on Victoria and Alexander.

There was a time when Alexander and Isabella appeared close.

Dominic had worried Alexander might betray Victoria. But recently, their interactions had dwindled.

Perhaps Alexander had been momentarily captivated by Isabella's beauty, but ultimately remained loyal.

His heart still belonged to Victoria.

Today—whether at lunch or now—Alexander showed Isabella no special attention. This observation eased Dominic's concerns considerably.
