Chapter 139

Isabella didn't glance up from her intense discussion with the Salzburg tech team.

Victor flashed a knowing smile. "Mr. Graves, are you acquainted with Mr. Fairchild and Mr. Holloway?"

Nathaniel gave a curt nod. "We've met."

As scions of Salzburg's elite families, their paths had crossed before.

Though Nathaniel had chosen a different professional trajectory, making their relationship merely cordial.

After exchanging brief pleasantries with Nathaniel, Dominic and Simon followed Victor to another section of the venue.

Victoria remained behind with Nathaniel.

She'd noticed Isabella immediately, but after one dismissive glance, refocused her attention on Nathaniel.

"Mr. Graves, did you just arrive?" she inquired smoothly.

Nathaniel's technical prowess and status as Frederick Aldridge's protégé made him valuable.

Despite sensing his coolness toward her - likely due to Isabella's influence - Victoria maintained her charm.

Once she secured Frederick as her mentor too, they'd be working closely together.

"I've been here thirty minutes," Nathaniel answered distractedly, scribbling notes. "You seem well-settled, Ms. Kensington."

Victoria smiled. "I arrived at Salzburg Tech this morning. After a busy day, I needed refreshments upstairs."

The unspoken implication being Alexander Whitmore's private office.

Nathaniel's pen stilled. His tone turned glacial. "Is Mr. Whitmore here?"

"No, he's at Whitmore Group."

Meaning she had unrestricted access to his workspace - no secrets between them.

Nathaniel's noncommittal "hmm" ended the conversation. He strode toward Isabella, notebook extended.

Isabella glanced at his notes, nodded understanding, then resumed work.

Victoria interjected, "What technical issues are you discussing? Perhaps I could assist."

"This is specialized work, Ms. Kensington," Nathaniel replied coolly. "It wouldn't be appropriate."

As Victoria opened her mouth to protest, Isabella approached with data reports.

Victoria's expression frosted over instantly.

Isabella ignored her initially, but meeting Victoria's icy glare, returned an equally chilling stare.
