Chapter 417
Isabella didn't respond to that unspoken question. She'd asked herself the same thing countless times in the past.
The harsh reality was this world operated on its own unfair rules.
That bitter truth had settled into her bones years ago.
So she'd stopped questioning long ago.
Back then, she'd been powerless to change anything. But now-
Both she and Nathaniel were well aware of Salzburg's smart traffic initiative. It represented a golden opportunity.
Yet with AuroraTech's reputation skyrocketing and their current project pipeline overflowing, they'd initially dismissed bidding for it.
But now-
After ending the call, Isabella dove into researching the project specifications online.
The initiative aimed to optimize scheduling for congested urban roads using cutting-edge AI algorithms, integrating traffic monitoring, signal systems, and other critical modules.
While these technical requirements might overwhelm other companies, for her they presented no real challenge.
As for InnovaTech's autonomous vehicle development-
Isabella remained silent for a prolonged moment before rising and striding toward Nathaniel's office.
After hearing her out, Nathaniel's lips curved into a knowing smile. "So the city's transportation project. The Kensingtons have their puppet masters pulling strings, thinking it's already in their pocket?"
"We might have passed initially, but if the Kensingtons are bidding, we'd be fools not to intervene."
He added thoughtfully, "If you're committed to this, you have my full support. Though it'll mean grueling hours."
Isabella shook her head, determination hardening her gaze. "Hard work doesn't scare me."
Then she outlined her strategy regarding InnovaTech's autonomous vehicle initiative.
Nathaniel arched an eyebrow. "You've already formulated a plan?"
"Yes." Isabella nodded firmly. "Whether it's the engine architecture or the AI control systems, I can provide technical oversight. We just need the right manufacturing partner."
Nathaniel had been simmering all afternoon since learning about the Kensingtons' involvement with Alexander. Hearing Isabella's confidence, his mood visibly lifted.
He slapped the desk decisively. "Consider it handled!"
Suddenly taking on two major projects - especially a long-term municipal contract - would inevitably disrupt AuroraTech's existing operations.
Yet Nathaniel offered his unconditional backing.
Isabella recognized his support stemmed partly from personal loyalty. Warmth blossomed in her chest.
"Thank you, Nathaniel," she said softly.
He gave her hair an affectionate ruffle. "Save your thanks. If we land this, my profit margins will thank me enough. I've still got plenty of fight left in this old warhorse."
When Isabella committed to something, perfection became her only standard.
That very night, she began drafting the municipal traffic project proposal.
While the technical hurdles didn't intimidate her, the looming deadline meant every minute counted.
She worked straight through until dawn.
The next day, she'd originally scheduled a site visit to Whitmore Industries with Nathaniel. She canceled.
Instead, she instructed him to contact her remotely if any issues arose.
Even in routine collaborations, Whitmore's engineers often struggled to match her pace.
Showing up in person would only mean wasted hours waiting for them to catch up.
With two major projects now competing for her attention, every second mattered.
